Catalog description

Instructional Method: One hour of lecture; Three and a half hours of lab. This course introduces students to various aspects of art making with a focus on conceptual development. Students will explore practical issues relevant to the making of art within contemporary art and society. Various art making methods and theoretical models will be explored through prompt-based projects and class discussions and presentations. Note(s): Applied Learning designated course. It is suggested students take ARTS 301 and ARTS 397 concurrently.
