Catalog description

Instructional Method: Studio In ART 500, students will expand and strengthen technical skills in a studio area. Students will acclimate to new studios and their equipment; build studio habits; and adjust to graduate-level expectations for independent, self-directed work that integrates technical and conceptual development. Note(s): ART 500 should be taken during a student’s first semester in the MFA concentration in Studio Art. This course may co-convene with upper-level undergraduate courses. If advanced proficiency is shown, a student may bypass ART 500 and move directly into ART 600 with permission from the instructor and/or graduate coordinator.
