Catalog description

Instructional Method: One hour lecture. Prerequisites: Successful completion of all prior coursework, or permission of department. This course is the final course in a sequence of courses designed to define the expectations of professional development in entry-level DPT education with emphasis on the core competencies of professionalism, and communication. This course builds on previous content to challenge students to reflect on core values and examine ethical scenarios and identify scenarios that promote public trust of the physical therapy profession. Students will develop skills for self-reflection and analyze communication strategies during challenging encounters in patient and professional interactions.
