Instructional Method: Conduct of the Course: The format of the course may include but is not limited to lecture, case studies, small group and cooperative learning experiences. Prerequisites: Successful completion of all prior course work, or permission of department. This course reviews the development of the current healthcare system and examines forces that impact healthcare delivery. An emphasis is placed on leadership and management styles as related to the healthcare industry including communications, group dynamics, program development, ethical and legal issues. Healthcare leadership and management issues are explored at both the individual and population health settings.
