Catalog description

Instructional Method: Conduct of the Course: The format of the course may include, but is not limited to, lecture, discussions and case studies. Prerequisites: Successful completion of all prior coursework, or with permission from the department. Clinical Medicine III is designed to provide an understanding of the pathological conditions affecting the central and peripheral neurological systems. Emphasis is placed on knowledge of pathophysiology, recognition of clinical signs and symptoms and analysis of functional limitations and disability resulting from neurologic conditions. Students analyze the relationship between pathophysiology, clinical presentation and physical therapy implications for common neurologic conditions. This course prepares students for their second and third clinical experiences.
