Catalog description

This course examines various forms of inequality (e.g., race, class, and gender) and how these inequalities are reproduced in social life. Students will evaluate how and why individuals create differences and ranking systems within society. Focus will be placed on investigating empirical evidence that demonstrates how stratification affects individuals' life chances. No prerequisite. (Offered as needed.)
