Catalog description
This course will give students the opportunity to study historical and contemporary aspects of family life and intimate relationships. Special attention will be given to the interplay between the social institutions of work and family and child development within various family contexts. Students will apply theoretical perspectives, methodological strategies, and data analytics to investigate family issues. Public policy issues related to modern families will also be considered. No prerequisites. (Offered every odd spring term.)
