Catalog description
This course provides an investigation of the relationship between individuals and their social worlds. Students will be exposed to the theoretical and research foundations of sociology as they apply to the study of social institutions, culture, and social processes. Important questions to consider include the following: How are diverse societies organized? How do social forces influence individuals' lives and opportunities? How is culture created and reproduced?
