Seminar in Religion, Ethics, and Society: This seminar explores the intersections between religion and society, exploring the social, political, and cultural dimensions of religious beliefs, understanding and interpretation. Special topics include Islam, Women and Gender in the Muslim World; Introduction to Buddhism; Religion and Media, Religion and Politics; and Peacemaking in the Holy Land. Topics will be chosen by the department. Course may be repeated for a total of 8 hours of credit with different subtitles. (Offered as needed.)
