Catalog description

Seminar in Sacred Texts and Traditions: This seminar explores narratives in sacred texts through textual analysis and considers the theological, social, and ethical implications of these narratives. The course explores the role of human interpretation with special attention to issues of language and translation. Upper-level study of religious scriptures or movements. Topics will be chosen by the department. Course may be repeated for a total of 8 hours credit with different subtitles. (Offered as needed.)
