Diversity and Identity in the Hebrew Bible: This course examines how the Hebrew Bible, one of the most influential books in world history, addresses modern issues of diversity and identity. Utilizing modern Biblical scholarship, students will explore Biblical concepts of inclusion, exclusion, power, and privilege. How does the Hebrew Bible address gender, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, immigration, race, or ability? Prerequisite: None. (Offered every spring term.) Credits: 4
