Catalog description

An introduction to group theory, research, and process. Students will examine the dynamics of human interaction in a group setting. Different aspects affecting behavior within groups will be studied including group norms, cohesion, competition and co-operation. Students will have the opportunity to lead groups in an applied practicum experience. Repeatable for a total of 12 hours. Prerequisites: PSY 101, Junior or Senior Standing in the major, and permission of the instructor. (Offered every fall and spring term.)
