Catalog description

Introduces concepts of community health nursing utilizing the population-focused nursing process, with emphasis on health promotion, risk reduction and disease management across the lifespan in community settings. The class includes clinical experiences in community settings and the simulation lab. Class 3 hours per week. Clinical 45 hours per semester. Prerequisites: NUR 402, NUR 403, NUR 404. Corequisites: NUR 410, NUR 412. (Offered every fall and spring term).
