Catalog description

Includes procedures and skills for proficiency in reading, harmonization and transposition at sight as well as experience in accompanying. Required course for all music and music therapy majors. The class meets for two 50-minute sessions each week. Students may exempt this course by passing an examination. This course must be repeated until required skills are mastered. Prerequisite: Sufficient background in keyboard skills, as determined by the instructor and Piano Proficiency Exam Parts I and II. Repeatable for a total of 2 hrs. (Offered every fall term) Credit:
