Catalog description

In this course we will explore aspects of current research related to the psychology of music including psychophysiological responses and neuroscience. Music is studied as a phenomenon of human behavior. Topics include study of divergent views of musical preference, motivation, ability, and music learning, aspects of cognitive perception of music, music and human brain, and the social psychology of musical activities. This course may be taken as a QLC. (Offered every spring term)
