Catalog description
This audio production course will introduce students to the skills and knowledge needed to create professional quality audio for a variety of media formats, including video/audio journalism, documentary, podcasts, and narrative media. Students will develop an understanding of the physics of audio and practice appropriate techniques for sound gathering, sound recording, and sound editing. Students will identify the practices and conventions for sound design and apply these conventions in a series of project-based production assignments. Prerequisites: MMS 210 (Offered every spring term) Credit: 4.
