Media Theory & Criticism: This course examines the media through select theories & perspectives. It analyzes media artifacts through a critical-cultural lens and emphasizes how power and ideologies are embedded within the media texts we consume (as the audience) and create (as producers). Prerequisite: COM 101 or MMS 101. (Offered every spring term.) Credit: 4.
