Catalog description
An advanced statistics course focused on the modeling process, from model selection and building to communication of results. Students will generate models using a variety of statistical techniques, including data visualization, advanced topics in ANOVA and regression, and multivariable methods. Statistical computing skills will be further developed using the R programming language. Together with MAT 260, recommended for students in all majors/programs pursuing careers or graduate programs with a substantial quantitative component. Prerequisite: MAT 260 or permission of department. (Offered every Spring term.)
