Business Statistics

Catalog description

This course is designed to develop students’ statistical skills for business applications. Topics include graphical methods of descriptive statistics, random variables, probability distributions, Central Limit Theorem, confidence intervals, one-sample, and two-sample hypothesis tests for mean and proportion, Chi-Square test, correlation, least-squares regression, and Analysis of Variance. Use of Excel will be emphasized. Special focus will be placed on critical thinking about statistics and understanding concepts. (Offered every fall and spring terms).
