Elementary Foreign Language I

Catalog description

This course introduces the fundamental elements of the target language within a cultural context. Emphasis is on the development of basic listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Upon completion, students should be able to comprehend and respond with grammatical accuracy to the spoken and written language studied as well as demonstrate cultural awareness. Offered on a rotating basis as demand and faculty with sufficient credentials dictate. May be repeated with different languages for a total of 24 hours. Prerequisite: None. (Offered every fall term.)
