Catalog description
This course is designed to introduce and familiarize students with basic knowledge of the legal system and legal issues prevalent in sport and comparable activities. Major focus of the course is on understanding the concept of negligence, where and how negligence occurs and identifying ways in which negligent acts can be reduced or eliminated. Other topics relating to the scope of legal issues will be addressed. Prerequisite: Senior standing in the sport management major or minor. (Offered every fall term.) Credit:
