QUEST Undergraduate Publication Course: This course invites students into the process of professional writing and editing for publication of the Queens undergraduate research journal. Drawing on the interdisciplinary nature of writing, research, and scholarship, this course offers a variety of disciplinary lenses by which to consider knowledge-making and knowledge-dissemination. Students will learn and discuss writing and editing as it applies to qualitative, quantitative, and rhetorical research. Additionally, students will obtain practical experience designing and producing the publication of an undergraduate research journal; participating in the peer review process based on editorial requirements; learning the fundamentals of disciplinary writing, copy-editing, and proofreading. (Offered every fall term.) Credits: 4.
