Catalog description

What affects the comfort of the human occupant? In Environmental Ergonomics I, the building envelope becomes the starting point to understand how various systems control the interior environment. Starting with the basic elements of the building shell, a series of exercises explores the relationship between construction systems, codes and standards, area measurement, and the specification of equipment and fixtures for electrical systems and lighting fundamentals. Prerequisite: IAD 121. (Offered every fall term.)
