Catalog description

Have you ever wondered what it would have been like to have lived through the Harlem Renaissance or questioned what spurred the growth of suburban tracks that now surround metropolitan centers like Atlanta and Los Angeles? Urban America provides an overview of the social and political forces that drove urbanization from the colonial period through the present with an emphasis on the nineteenth through the twenty-first century. No prerequisite. (Offered spring term, as needed.)
