Catalog description
This course explores the relationships between humans, societies, and their environments, from the 1400s to the present. From imperialism to industrialization to the climate crisis, humans have shaped, and been shaped, by their natural environments in ways that impact the world around us today. Students learn about this history through themed weeks that will guide them through the histories of fossil fuels, ecological imperialism, environmental justice, and more. No prerequisite. (Offered every other spring semester.) Credit 4
