Catalog description

This course examines the forces and events which have shaped Latin American experiences from the sixteenth century to the present. Students will also examine the historical roots of contemporary issues such as drug trafficking, migration, and alternative approaches to economic development. No prerequisite. (Offered every even fall term.)
