Catalog description

This course examines multiple dimensions of the public health field, including how the public's health is protected. Students will study a variety of social, economic, and political pressures and how they may influence the health of populations. Students will explore current ethical public health dilemmas, gaining an awareness of potential conflicts between the rights of an individual with those of society. No prerequisite. (Offered every fall term.)
