Introduction to Health Sciences

Catalog description

This is the foundational course for Health Sciences majors. Students will define and analyze the breadth of the health sciences. Topics include identification of common skill sets for healthcare providers and educators, common sources of information for healthcare, educating patients, cultural issues as they intersect with healthcare, and advocacy as a responsibility of healthcare providers. Prerequisite: None. (Offered every term.)
