Catalog description

In this foundational studio, students are introduced to the discipline of design and will explore the fundamental elements and principles of 21st century graphic design. Course content will include illustration, typography, photography, layout, composition, digital literacy, and presentation techniques. Students will explore static and interactive paradigms and also learn the differences between designing for print versus designing for the screen. Students must earn a grade of C or higher in this course to move forward in the program. No prerequisite. (Offered every fall) Credit: 4.
