Catalog description

Financial Institutions & Fintech: This course studies the fundamental principles that govern the Federal Reserve, the behavior of financial intermediaries and the various risks that different types of institutions encounter in their operations as well as how these institutions manage these risks. We will also analyze how digital transformation is impacting organizational structures, market structure, participants, regulation as well as the dynamics of change being brought about by FinTech. Topics include blockchains, cryptocurrencies, AI in the finance industry, and fintech in electronic payments and the internet of things. Prerequisite: Admission to MSFA program.
