Catalog description

This course focuses on options, futures, and other financial derivatives. Topics include the various types of derivative instruments and their characteristics, options markets and option pricing models, forward markets, futures markets, swap markets, and credit derivatives. Emphasis is placed on the use of derivatives for hedging and speculative motives. Prerequisite: FIN 360 with a grade of C or higher and FIN 370. (Offered fall term.)
