Catalog description
Exploration of Shakespeare's body of works and their treatment of prevalent themes such as love, death, power, justice, and identity. The course considers such themes across genres--the genres of poetry and drama, as well as comedy, tragedy, history, and romance. ENG 313 assesses Shakespeare’s works in their literary and cultural contexts, and in doing so, will also evaluate their literary and cultural impact. Prerequisite: QEN 101. (Offered every odd fall term.)
