Supervision to Improve Instruction

Catalog description

This course will engage candidates in an exploration of the role of the school executive in supervising and improving instruction. Topics such as teacher coaching, professional development, best practices, collegiality, and shared leadership will be discussed. Candidates will reflect upon the role of the school leader in monitoring instruction and in providing feedback and support in a manner that results in continuous growth and improvement in the classroom and in student achievement.
