Elementary Science Methods

Catalog description

This course examines content specific pedagogical strategies for teaching science in elementary school. Topics include the use of inquiry in lesson planning and delivery, integration of subject matter with real world topics, cooperative learning, assessment techniques, problem solving, the use of technology and curriculum integration. A field experience is required. Prerequisite: Admission to the Teacher Education Program. (Offered every fall term.)
