Global Communication & Culture:This course examines the relationship between communication and culture around the world. Students will take close critical analyses of issues and events that interrupt the performance of cultures within the United States and outside of it. Topics including acculturation, immigration, stereotyping, prejudice, education, intercultural interaction and media representation of cultures will be addressed. Prerequisite MMS 101 or COM 101 or permission of instructor. (Offered every fall and spring term.) Credit 4
