Catalog description

Strategic communication refers to the totality of an organization's efforts to inform, persuade, motivate, and lead its various publics, which include consumers, investors, employees, and the media. Students will learn how effective strategic messages are created and framed, how different strategic messages garner particular responses, and how to employ communication strategies to advance organizational goals. Prerequisite: COM 101 or MMS 101 or permission of instructor. (Offered every fall term.)
