BUS 105
Business Reporting Foundations
Queens University of Charlotte · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
This course is an experiential learning course that provides students with the tools to create and build out the financial and accounting portions of a business plan. The course design focuses on the accounting concepts that allow entrepreneurs to make business decisions without a mastery of accounting. Students will identify the variable and financial factors affecting a business model and use them to create a financial model and/or cash flow model representing the value proposition of their business idea/plan. Deliverables include a financial/cash flow model presentation identifying how their business generates a return to the firm, operations, and/or investors. The course is designed for students majoring outside of the McColl School majors. It is recommended that students complete BUS 110 either before or at the same time as this course. Credits: 2
