Catalog description
This course integrates literacy development and the arts through a global lens. Students will be exposed to ways that creativity can be defined by engaging contemporary artists in the visual arts, music, theatre, dance and creative writing. Focus is placed on theories of the creative process and the vital place of artistic literacy in education, as knowledge of the arts is a central component of cultural literacy. This class fulfills the writing-intensive requirement for the major. Lab fee applies. Prerequisite: None. (Offered every even spring term.)
