Student experientially learns basic acting skills through a structured series of exercises. Emphasis is on developing and controlling concentration, creation of basic realities, improvisation. May not be taken concurrently with THTR 16800, 33600, or 36800. Typically offered Fall Spring. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Recall and utilize significant vocabulary of the Stanislavski-based system. 2. Perform a memorized monologue from a play they have read. 3. Integrate specific exercises and techniques into their approach to the craft of acting. 4. Express themselves using their own imagination, voice, and physicality in expressive ways.
