Catalog description

This course covers advanced concepts in industrial robotics and smart manufacturing systems within an Industry 4.0 framework. Students will utilize industrial-grade robotic platforms, simulation environments, and data analytics tools to design, analyze, and integrate intelligent automation systems. Topics include robot kinematics and dynamics, and force/torque analysis, control implementation, human-robot interaction, ergonomics and safety, digital twins, factory simulation, IoT-enabled data acquisition, predictive maintenance, sensor integration, and applications of virtual, augmented, and haptic technologies in manufacturing. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Demonstrate the knowledge of industrial robotics principles and smart manufacturing systems. 2. Demonstrate the skills and techniques required for robotic system modeling, analysis, and integration. 3. Design and implement integrated smart manufacturing solutions. 4.
