Catalog description

The primary purpose of the Advanced Practicum (III) is to educate students to apply advanced social work services. Students use professional social work practicum instruction to advance learning and apply knowledge and social work ethics and values to their practice with clients and communities that enhance social well-being. Social Work Practicum and Integrative Seminar III is a three-credit course including supervised practice experience in an organization providing human services for a variety of client populations. Prerequisite: SWRK 69000. Prerequisite(s): SWRK 69000 FOR LEVEL GR WITH MIN. GRADE OF D- Course Learning Outcomes 1. Understand the potential impact of the organizational and field contexts on the personal and professional self, critically reflecting about themselves, and articulating the importance and relevance of self-care, as evidenced by the social worker interview assignment. 2.
