Varies from year to year but possible topics include Monte Carlo methods, Bayesian statistics, statistical analysis of network data, Bayesian networks, classification and regression trees (CART), random forests, neural networks, machine learning, resampling methods. Extensive use of a statistical computer package will be required. Typically offered Fall Spring. Prerequisite(s): STAT 43000 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN.
