Catalog description

Intermediate level course directed towards the use of Spanish in the health care professions. It covers specialized vocabulary from the medical fields, as well as grammar and syntax with the goal of developing speaking, listening, reading and writing abilities. Students will have the opportunity to apply their skills in practical contexts and discuss cultural considerations. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer. Prerequisite(s): SPAN 20200 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. GRADE OF D- Course Learning Outcomes 1. Prepare students to communicate effectively in the health professional field. 2. Study of specialized vocabulary of the health sciences. 3. Apply their skills in a practical classroom setting. 4.
