A Spanish for Special Purposes course. Basic terminology for health care professionals. Practice in Spanish communication in assessment and intervention settings with patients/families. General medical history and symptoms are covered as well as special individual topics. Practice in language skill development in health history interviews. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Conduct basic-level communication with Spanish-speaking patients. 2. Obtain relevant medical information. 3. Identify body parts and physical conditions. 4.
