Gender In Society

Catalog description

The course focuses on the ways in which society influences individual experiences and understandings of gender and the impact this has on larger social institutions, including education, marriage and family, health, and work. This course also considers the intersections of gender, race and ethnicity, and social class. The influence of feminist theory on our understanding of gender is also discussed.
