Catalog description

Introductory, integrated science course for engineering and science students. Beginning lectures will cover the basic chemistry of life, the organization of cells. This will be followed by more advanced topics such as photosynthesis. Each topic will emphasize how understanding the biological system requires concepts and tools from other disciplines such as chemistry and physics. Permission of instructor required.
