Catalog description

An introduction to life science for non-biology majors. This inquiry-based course will take an investigative approach to various topics in biology that are related to everyday life. Topics include evolution and life history of animals and plants, cells, human health, biotechnology, and ecology. Although offered primarily for elementary education majors, this course is open to all qualified students. This course cannot be counted as biology elective credits for a biology degree.
