This course offers an entry point into the methods and practices of research in political science. Students will learn how to develop research questions, apply theoretical frameworks, and use evidence to investigate political phenomena. General Education: First Year Experience Course Learning Outcomes 1. Evaluate peer-reviewed social science research critically. 2. Examine how to use the scientific method to produce new knowledge in political science, including evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of different research approaches. 3.
