This course is intended to give students an opportunity to study the nature of democratic government, the U.S. Constitution, federalism, civil liberties and rights, political dynamics, the presidency, Congress, and the judiciary. Typically offered Spring. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Students will learn what the ideas about American government are and where they originated. 2. Students will learn how the formal and informal institution of American government work. 2.
