Brief historical survey of the development of quantum mechanics; wave-packets, uncertainty principle, wave functions, operators, Schrodinger equation with application to one-dimensional problems, the hydrogen atom, electron spin, selected topics in perturbation theory, scattering theory, and compounding of angular momenta.
